INFORMATION

Thank you for your interest in serving on the Autism 4 Parents Board of Directors. The Autism 4 Parents formal By-Laws cover the make-up, duties, powers, terms of office and other details concerning our Board. The following is a less formal summary of the information that is intended to answer frequently asked questions.

How many people serve on the Board of Directors?

   

A minimum of (5)

Who appoints members of the Board?

   

The Autism 4 Parents Board.

How long are the terms?

   

Each term is four years.

What are the requirements of Board positions?

   

The Board will discuss and vote on the highest priority issues, set organizational policies, approve budgets, establish long term plans and establish fundraising.

5.

 

How many Board meetings are held each year and where are they held?

   

There are a total of (5) meetings a year held in the resident county. (4) are one meeting every quarter and (1) special meeting.

6.

 

What about travel expenses for Board Members?

   

All travel, room, and board expenses connected with Board meetings are paid for by Autism 4 Parents. Members are NOT paid an honorarium for their services.

7.

 

How do I apply for a position on the board?

   

You may fill out an application and submit it at any time. In addition, the application may be obtained from our website : Board Application

We are looking for investment in the organization.

   
  1. Personal or business amounts or
  2. Combination of fundraising  through personal contacts and Board members personal or business funds.
